House of Scientists in Lviv is an monument of architecture of local importance and was raised at the end of XIX century by the project of Viennese architects H. Helmer and F. Fellner (having designed the Opera House in Odessa, Chernovtsy, etc.), for the club of stud farms owners. The casino of the nobility was housed in the building from 1918 to 1939; it functions as a House of Scientists after World War II. The construction is well preserved, and in 2008 the building was included to the list of monuments of architecture that can not be privatized. The beauty and splendour of architectural forms and house refinement boggle Everyman’s imagination. It should be noted that a popular Soviet film “d’Artagnan and Three Musketeers” based on the novel Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas was shot here.
