In Belgium, opened the monument to the Ukrainian Princess

The solemn opening ceremony of the sculpture of Anna Yaroslavna Kiev Princess and Queen of France, took place on Saturday in a historic Belgian town of Arlon.

The ceremony took place in the framework of the project "the route of the Queen" that reproduces the way in which the future Queen of France overcame the distance from Kiev to Paris.

 

"The opening of the sculpture of Kiev Princess is a symbol of the historical ties that unite the whole of Europe and Ukraine. This event was made possible thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of the municipality of Kiev and the efforts of the Embassy of Ukraine in Kingdom of Belgium. Now we hope that more Ukrainians will come to our beautiful city" - said during the opening of the monument to the mayor of the city of Arlon Vincent Magnus.
