The Crimean authorities want to increase the number of tourists this year to 8 million people

The leadership of the Republic of Crimea poses health resort complex of the Republic task to take this year about 8 million tourists, which is 2 million more than in 2013, which was to Crimea record number of tourists during the years of independence of Ukraine, stated the speaker of the state Council Vladimir Konstantinov.

"The task we set to sanatorium-resort complex, is the number of tourists should be in the order of 8 million sanatoria, boarding houses shall be filled," Konstantinov said on Thursday at a meeting of the Commission of the state Council on tourism and resorts.

He also said that the number of ferries operating on the crossing of the Kerch Strait, which separates Crimea and the Krasnodar territorywill be increased by the beginning of the holiday season.

Before joining the Crimea to Russia on crossing of the Kerch Strait worked two ferries.

"Purchased additional ferries, their number would be sufficient to the problem of delivery (tourists - if) to solve", - said Vladimir Konstantinov.
