The economic development Ministry plans to increase the number of tourists in Ukraine by 50%

The Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine hopes to increase the number of foreign tourists by 50%, to 21 million people in 2020.

This was during the roundtable said the first Deputy economy Minister Maxim nefodov, Biznestsentr reports citing Ukrainian news.

"Our plan – a 50% increase in the number of foreign tourists who visited Ukraine from 14 million expected in 2017 until 21 million in 2020," – said nefodov.

The Deputy Minister also said that the Ministry expects the growth of high-tech production from 6.5% of GDP (forecast for 2017) to 8.5% of GDP in 2020. In accordance with this expected growth of high-tech exports, with 19% of the total volume of exported goods to 25% in 2020.
