Hunting in national parks will never be allowed

The Chairman of the Committee on environmental policy, natural resources and elimination of consequences of the Chernobyl disaster at the present meeting considered and unanimously rejected the draft law of the people's Deputy Century Melnichenko "On amending the Law of Ukraine "On nature reserve Fund of Ukraine" (regarding the improvement of certain provisions) that allows hunting in nature reserves and national parks under the guise of regulating the number, selection of breeding and veterinary-sanitary examination.

This was reported by the Committee Chairman Mykola Tomenko.

 

"There is a paradoxical story that this legislative initiative in several convocations of the Supreme Rada for the sixth time (!) registered under different names. I understand that it is the promoter of the so-called "hunting mafia that wants to legalize hunting in national parks. But the position of the Committee on environmental policy and the public is hard: we will never allow hunting in the protected areas of Ukraine", - said Mykola Tomenko.
