OLD COSSACK KYIV-ELECTRICIANS MONASTERY WILL REVIVE

Electricians monastery will be restored! January 22, 2014 at the information Agency INTERFAX-UKRAINE held a press conference at which the issue was raised about the revival of the old Ukrainian Cossack Spaso-Preobrazhensky monastery.

 

Organizer and moderator of the event was the President of the charity Fund "Generation" Valery Vyhovsky, the descendant of a famous Cossack family Vygovsky, who said: "Electricians monastery has a long history ... unfortunately, the modern Ukrainian the name "Mezhgorye" is associated only with pompous residence of the former President. I believe that the joint efforts Electricians monastery will be restored".

 

The speech was also the candidate of historical Sciences, senior researcher of the Institute of archaeology NAS of Ukraine Vsevolod Ivakin, head of the sector for the acquisition of the legal regime of objects and areas related to the protection of immovable cultural heritage Ministry of culture Yakov Dichter and others.

 

With the blessing of Patriarch of Kyiv and all Rus-Ukraine Filaret part in the press conference took doctor of the Church-historical Sciences professorate Vitaly Kloss.

 

Today, on the spot where formerly was the monastery is located, has a six-meter cross, which indicates the intention to revive the monastery. Informs the Press service of the Kyivan Patriarchate.
