"Today during the meeting of permanent Commission of the Kyiv city Council on culture, tourism and information policy of the deputies supported the appeal regarding the possible location of the Park the history of the Soviet occupation of the street Perosi way in the Goloseevsky district of the capital", - stated in the message.It is also reported that the decision to zapechatyvanie Park the history of Soviet occupation in Kiev and inventory all the monuments and memorials, the capital, is devoted to individuals who are involved in the crimes of the totalitarian regime of the Soviet power in Ukraine, the city Council adopted last year.

 

As noted by the initiator of the appeal, the Deputy of the city Council Vladislav Mikhailenko, the process of creating a common space where you can place the monuments of the Soviet history, was delayed, because this issue needed a public discussion, and all the potential places — detailed study.

"Currently, a compromise was found for a possible Park location – on the street Perosi way in goloseyevsky area. On the one hand, the plot is located on the outskirts of town and not disturb anyone, on the other — there is already a few tourist sites. The creation of another — only will promote the development of tourism in the capital," said Mikhailenko.

Parliamentary Committee has instructed the Department of land resources of the Executive body of Kyiv city Council, Department of urban development and the preservation of the natural environment KO "Kievzelenstroy" to prepare documents for removal to appropriate the Park land.
