Palm Sunday

Today Christianity celebrates palm Sunday. In churches from Saturday to Sunday is all-night worship service, the congregation bring willow twigs, which sanctifies the priests. Consecrated willow is attributed to the extraordinary healing and cleansing power. On arrival from the temple, willow branches keep in the house over the images, tied up in a barn, and planted in the field - everywhere where the word of the Lord to expect good.

Palm Sunday has pagan roots - these days, our ancestors revered the tree of life as a symbol of eternity.

Ukrainians celebrate palm Sunday with the time of the baptism of Ukraine-Rus ' by Prince Vladimir and adoption of Christianity by the Ukrainians - in the XI century.

Palm Sunday is always held the week before the celebration of the holiday of all holidays - Easter. This is the most revered week of lent before Easter is called Holy week and is held in the memories of the sufferings of Christ.

Today - on palm Sunday - it is impossible to conduct any work on the house, but the most essential care sector. It is impossible to prepare hot meals, clean the house and perform other "dirty" work.
