On the place of Kazantip will build an Orthodox monastery

New Crimean government plans to build a monastery on the place of the music festival "Kazantip Republic", near the village Popovka near Yevpatoria. This was stated by the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of Crimea Sergey Aksenov.
This decision Aksenov took after his recent visit to Moscow, during which he managed to talk with the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill.
"His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia said that such festivals is not the place for the Orthodox land, and I agreed with him. We agreed that allocated the land to the Church for the construction of an Orthodox monastery on the shore of the sea, "said Aksenov.
He also noted that on the basis of the Kazantip monastery of the ROC plans to establish its festival of Orthodox art, which will promote the appropriate values. Every August on the territory of the monastery that is situated near the village of Popovka, will be assembled priests, monks and nuns from the Orthodox churches and monasteries throughout the CIS, and to share experiences and to worship on the Black sea.
In addition Aksenov has noted, that the founder of festival “Kazantip” Nikita, Marchanka he also plans to attract as to build a new monastery, and the organization of the new festival. “Marshunok has a great experience in creation of mass events, and in its promotion. And we would like to attract him to the new project. I spoke with Patriarch Kirill, he is even ready to provide Nikita high spiritual rank in exchange for his help,“ added the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Crimea.
