Ukraine and Romania will connect the new ferry line across the Danube

Construction of a new ferry line over the Danube, which connects the Ukrainian Орловку with the Romanian settlement Isakcha, will begin in April of this year.

It was reported journalists by the administrator of the Romanian company-contractor Stelian Гэвруш, reports UKRINFORM correspondent.

"According to the signed between Ukraine and Romania to the agreement on cooperation, the work on the improvement of new checkpoints Isakcha (Romania) and Orlovka (Ukraine) will begin in April of this year," said Гэвруш.

According to preliminary data, the total value of the Romanian part of the project, which will be implemented with the support of the governing Council of the Euroregion "Lower Danube", is about 12 million euros.

Commissioning of the new ferry line between Romania and Ukraine is planned for 2016.
