This year the "humor" in Odessa will still hold, but without the traditional carnival procession

The traditional festival of humor in Odessa this year, will resume, but without the carnival procession.

 

"Humorina-2016" will hold, but without the carnival procession. As the correspondent of the UNIAN, at a briefing on March 2 said the Director of the Department of culture of the Odessa city Council Tatyana Markova.

 

She noted that it was decided to hold this year "Humorina" celebration which was cancelled for the past two years in connection with the situation in the country. In 2016 "humor" in Odessa will be held from 1 to 3 April, a carnival procession but decided not to.

 

As Markov said, in the city center will be a few key locations - at Deribasovskaya street, Primorskiy Boulevard and in the City garden.

 

"There will be plenty of open air projects... From the format of the carnival we refused, because right now it's not important," - said the head of the Department.

 

According to her, at the end of March also kicks off the international festival of clowns and mimes "Komediada", which in 2015 replaced the "Humorina".

 

The first "April fool's day" took place in Odessa in 1973. In 1976, it banned the government of Ukraine and Odessa. Resumed the festival of laughter in the late 1980s.

 

In 2014, the "humor" was canceled in connection with the 40-day mourning declared by the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, in 2015, in connection with military operations in the East of the country.
