April 8 - the feast of feasts - Easter!

Easter - a public holiday in Ukraine. In 2018 Easter is celebrated on April 8.

Not simply for the worship, more tradition - on Easter to go to Church to bless the Easter basket after lent.

What products have the Ukrainians put in the Easter basket for the blessing is also a tradition and peculiarities of national cuisine:

- most importantly, baking for Easter. Big - table small - for grandchildren, are average - in the standards;

eggs - pysanky, tradition means the Holy Sepulchre with a hidden eternal life;

- dairy products: butter, cheese, sour cream;

- salt - a symbol of abundance and health.

Ukrainian bacon, homemade sausages, poultry;

- sparse, usually home-brew, although you should only take the Church the wine of Cahors.

You can't put in the Easter basket for the sanctification of the spirits, blood sausage, money and other material values.

On the night before Easter all the parishes of the Orthodox Church nightly worship services, which will all deeply religious Christians - Ukrainians and not only.
