Adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on April 8, 2014, the law on the abolition of utilization fee will revive the automobile market of Ukraine and has started the process of implementation of "deferred demand". Recently, said the Association of importers in Ukraine continued decline in auto sales, although the majority of the Ukrainian car market needs updating (the average age of cars 18.5 years). The reason - "deferred demand" for cars, i.e. the desire to postpone the purchase of cars until "better times".
First motorists waited for the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU. Later hoped for the implementation of the action "road map" between Ukraine and Russia which implied the abolition of special duties. All this has not occurred, and pressed recycling collection and special dues potential buyers are "saved" on. Since mid-April, said the Association, the abolition of utilisera and reduction of high customs duties on the third, get buyers into showrooms, because the price should go down.
At the same time the Association notes that the rise since April 1, the excise duty on passenger cars will have a negative impact on sales of cars, and block the cheaper cars with engine volume of more than 3 liters, which will rise by approximately 8%. The other machines (in dollar equivalent) should be cheaper. With all innovations, the Association's experts predict that the cars with engines up to 1.5 liters should fall in price by 8%, cars with engines from 1.5 to 2.2 liters of about 5%, cars with engines 2.2-3 liters of 3-4%.
