The New York Times will write at last Kyiv instead of Kiev

 
 
Now in the American edition of The New York Times correctly to write the name of the Ukrainian capital, replacing "Kiev" to "Kyiv". The newspaper has joined other well-known American publications.
 
In the summer the Embassy of Ukraine appealed to the Council of the United States on geographical names asking you to enter the correct spelling of the Ukrainian capital.
Rada adopted a decision to officially write Kyiv international database - like Skyscraper.
A number of well-known American publications, including the Associated Press, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and others have adhered to the recommendations of the international stock #KyivNotKiev, establishing in their pages updated name.
Now they were joined by The New York Times.
