In Uzhgorod the cherry blossoms are in full bloom

In the Ukrainian city of Uzhgorod has blossomed Sakura. Bright pink trees pleasing to the eyes of residents and guests of the city since the weekend. Locals say that every year Sakura flowers bloom earlier, this usually occurs in late April - early may.

Japanese cherry trees planted Dovzhenko street and Rakoczy, a lot of them on Sakurovas alley - on Pushkin square near the waterfront.

In Uzhgorod Sakura appeared in 1923, when the trees were brought from Vienna. Over time, exotic trees were planted around the city and even beyond. The warm climate of Transcarpathia allows Sakura feel great every year to recreate the atmosphere of the Japanese spring.

Every year the city hosts the festival Sakura. The Sakura festival 2014" will be held on 22-27 April, but the locals are worried that by the time the Japanese cherry can wither.

Simultaneously with Sakura, in Uzhgorod blossomed bright pink flowers Japanese quince, and pink, white and purple flowers of Magnolia.
