Wikipedia has launched a flash mob for writing articles in Ukrainian

To the 12th anniversary of Ukrainian-speaking "Wikipedia" public organization "Wikimedia Ukraine" and the Ministry of culture of Ukraine initiated an all-Ukrainian flash mob on writing articles in the Ukrainian language. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of culture.
 
According to the Agency, within three days, from 29 to 31 January, anyone can join the wiki and flashmob to create or edit at least one Ukrainian-language article useful.
 
"Thus, the biggest Russian-speaking Internet encyclopedia that now has over 600 thousand articles, may increase substantially. The purpose of the flashmob is not only support free access for every person to the entire sum of human knowledge, but also the dissemination of information about Ukraine", – stated in the message.
 
The Ministry of culture added that in the framework of the campaign, the flashmob have joined and created a new article, researchers of the National reserve "Sophia of Kyiv" National historical and memorial preserve "Babyn Yar", the National Kyiv-Pechersk historical and cultural reserve, the National historical memorial reserve "bykivnya graves" National Museum "memorial to victims of Holodomor", the National Museum of folk architecture and lifestyle of Ukraine (Pirogovo), the National Museum of history of Ukraine during world war II and National Museum of literature of Ukraine.
 
"30 January, from 11.00 to 12.00, in the National Kyiv-Pechersk historical and cultural reserve will take the project Wiki Takes Lavra, dedicated to the monuments of the reserve, and wiki flash mob. Within hours the participants of wiki flash mob can take pictures of the sights of the National Kyiv-Pechersk historical-cultural reserve and load them in "Wikipedia", – specified in the message.
 
Ukrainian "Wikipedia" came in first place in the world in terms of popularity in March 2013. As of January 30, the Ukrainian section of Wikipedia contains 615 535 articles on various subjects.
