THIS SUMMER HIT THE TOP OF THE HOTTEST IN THE HISTORY OF KIEV

According to the Central geophysical Observatory, this summer was the fifth among the hottest in the history of the Ukrainian capital. Reports DT.UA.
 
The average temperature of the summer calendar 2016 in Kiev was +21,4°, 2.7° exceeds climatic norm.
 
In General, all three summer months were warmer from the climatic norm, but in July it was recorded the highest deviation from the norm +3,1°.
 
During the summer there were 24 days with temperatures above +30,0°. The features of this summer in Kiev forecasters include three extremely dry months, especially in June, which has dropped only 21% of the climatic norm.
 
The shortage of rainfall was 142 mm and has dropped only 38% of normal. However, the dry remains of last year's summer, when precipitation was only 30% of normal.
 
Despite the hot summer, during the summer, there have been sharp changes in air temperature. In General, the temperature of the first eight months exceeded the climate norm by 2.7°, which is a prerequisite for the occurrence of this year in the top three warmest for 136 years of follow-up in the capital.
 
According to the Central geophysical Observatory, August 23 in Kiev there was the warmest night since 1881. Night temperature fell below 22,2°, which is higher by 0.1° previous record this date in 1946.
