A concert dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Wikipedia was intended to represent musical projects that I do editors of the Ukrainian language edition of free online encyclopedia, – tell the organizers.

The concert will feature masterpieces of vocal classics in the Ukrainian translation by Dmitry Revutsky, Mykola Zerov, as well as contemporary authors. This stratum of Ukrainian culture has been undeservedly forgotten and almost lost. It is intended to revive the project "World classic in Ukrainian". It includes works by composers of different epochs: from Henry Purcell to Rachmaninov, many of them will sound in Ukrainian translation for the first time. A few instrumental miniatures will be performed by winners of the piano competition "Chestnut Grand piano" – the first in the world music contest, under which, starting from 2013, the best recordings are uploaded in the Wikimedia Foundation projects under free licenses.

The performances involved more than 20 participants, among them – people's artist of Ukraine Natalia svyrydenko, honored figure of arts of Ukraine Oksana petrikova, honored artists of Ukraine – Victor adder, Natalia krechko, Oksana Dandik.

The world premiere will be the performance of a piece "hymn to Wikipedia", based on the texts of the Wikipedia, its basic principles and rules. The author of this work and the author of the project – composer and author of the Ukrainian Wikipedia Andrey Bondarenko.

The highlight of the concert will be the performance of electronic works by Yuri Roll "please wait". The composer is a graduate of the Lviv music Academy and an active correspondent of the Ukrainian Wikipedia. For Wikipedians musical creativity Jurassic Bread is notable because it is the first and perhaps the only Ukrainian composer who published their works under free licenses. That is, his works can be freely used, provided author and license. Musicians will be interested to know what is algorithmic composition and how it is carried out by electronic tools.
